Immerse yourself in a high-alpine rush or stride into quality time with your loved ones. Our guides curate each day’s adventures to your personal ability and preferred activity types. It’s all designed to deliver the ultimate escape on top of the world.
Every day promises a host of new adventures specifically selected for you, based on local conditions. Amazing experiences await your arrival.
Your CMH adventure starts with a journey on a route listed as 'One of the Most Scenic Drives in the World' – the Icefields Parkway. Choose to self-drive and take your time to explore the grand scenery, or to hop on our private coach to simply enjoy the bucket-list view out the window. Upon arrival at the helipad in Valemount, BC, you'll take a quick ride above the treetops to our hotel-style lodge in the high country, loaded with luxurious amenities.
There are a number of ways to travel to our lodges: you can ride in one of the private CMH coaches (from designated pick-up/drop-off locations) or drive yourself to the helipad. We also offer additional transport options if you’re looking for something more specialized – call us for details.
Please note that a Parks Canada pass is required to park in Banff or drive to our helipads. If you’re self-driving and require a pass, you can avoid lineups at the park gate by buying a pass online.
Each day you’ll fly to multiple inspiring locations and receive personal instruction as you paint landscapes you’ve only imagined. We aim for three or four unique destinations per day, where you’ll paint as many pieces as conditions and time allow. After a day spent painting a cascade of colours, you’ll enjoy additional painting instruction and art discussion draped in lodge comforts.
More than 3 million acres of paradise in Western Canada’s Columbia Mountains. That’s roughly one-third the size of Switzerland. It’s also CMH’s operational area – a vast ocean of untamed wilderness that plays host to near-endless adventures just west of the Canadian Rockies.
CMH Summer gives you rare heli-access to three distinct mountain areas: Cariboos, Bugaboos and Bobbie Burns. Each area features uniquely captivating geography crowned by a remote lodge offering the height of timberline comfort and hospitality. Choose your summer getaway at any of these exceptional destinations or double the adventure with a Bugaboos to Bobbie Burns lodge-to-lodge experience.
Complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout all of our lodges, as well as a computer area that you can use for internet browsing. Phones can be found in the computer area, and long-distance calling cards are available for purchase in our retail shop. Our three remote summer lodges do not have cell service.
Our lodges have Twin/Double rooms and a small number of Single rooms available. To guarantee a Single room, there is a supplement charge. Single rooms are available by request, depending on availability, the lodge and the number of nights of your stay.
Let your guide show you the path less travelled as you run up to 25km (15.5 mi) per day along majestic ridgelines and mountaintops. Offered at the Bugaboos.
Enjoy en plein air painting sessions as you learn from one of Canada’s eminent painters. Offered at the Bugaboos.
